ABELAKIA BEACH
The trendiest beach on the island. Chill-out music and great cocktails, this beach is mostly visited by the young crowd, but is still ideal for relaxing.

BANANA BEACH
Big Banana is beautiful, loud and the party never stops. In the off season it’s relatively quiet. Small Banana is the only nudist beach on the island.

AGIA ELENI BEACH
Agia Eleni is a party beach most of the summer, but is still great for families. The best sunset on the island.

Remote as its name suggests, Hidden Beach is as beautiful as any beach you’ll find on the island, minus the crowd.

MANDRAKI BEACH
Xerxis, Elias and Agistros are the 3 beaches in the Mandraki forest. If you have the time, visit all of them. Otherwise visit Elias, there is no other beach on the island like it.

Food, Drinks & Fun

FOOD
There are approximately 10 tavernas/restaurants within a 10-20 minute walking distance from our studios. You have a choice between traditional Greek cuisine, as well as Chinese, Italian and fast food.
DRINKS
There are a couple of nice bars in the Koukounaries area, with a wide selection of beers and cocktails. Sports bars are also available so you don’t miss a game of your favourite team, even on your holiday.
SUPER MARKET
There are 2 Super Markets in Koukounaries, within a 5-10 minute walk, that sell everything from fruit and vegetables to alcohol and even souvenirs.
OTHER ACTIVITIES
Koukounaries Riding School
Horse riding lessons and rides in the Mandraki forest.
Koukounaries Diving Center
Scuba diving and snorkeling school on Koukounaries beach.
Various Pool Bars
There are many pool bars around Koukounaries, were you can use the pool for free, as long as you order a drink/coffee from the bar.


Rent A Car Or Moped:

There are around 15 car and moped rental offices on the island. Ask us for more information upon arrival.

By Bus:

The bus route in Skiathos connects Skiathos Town to Koukounaries. Around 14 kilometers long, the trip is around half an hour servicing 26 bus stops: During the peak season, buses depart every 20 minutes and run from early in the morning until after midnight. Also, during the peak season, it is better to avoid getting the bus to town between the afternoon and early evening (17:00-19:00), as the buses can be very crowded. You pay the ticket fee onboard after you are seated.

By Taxi:

Skiathos island has around 20 taxi cabs, that are available 24 hours a day and will take you anywhere buses wont. The taxi terminal is located on the port, between the elementary school and the main port where the ferry’s arrive. Waiving at a taxi anywhere will let the driver know you need his services and if available they will stop, otherwise appointments can be made by calling the number below:

Boat Trips:

Some beaches on Skiathos island can’t be accessed by land. That’s why there are small boats that depart from the Skiathos port every day. Here we have a list of some of the available excursions:

Traveling By Airplane

Charter Flights To Skiathos:

Flights To Athens:
You can find fly to Athens from a number of large airports around the world throughout the year and then get to skiathos by boat or plane. Companies like Easyjet offer great deals on flights to Athens.

Flights From Athens:
If you don’t get a direct charter flight to Skiathos and land in Athens, Athens Airways flies regularly to Skiathos. You can view their schedule by clicking on the link below:

Traveling By Boat

Ferries and hydrofoils (flying dolphins) travel to Skiathos every day. Mainly from the ports of Agios Konstantinos (3-hour bus ride from Athens), Volos and Salonica. For information on prices and timetables, click on the link below:
